Join us at the Farm for the debut of ON THE HILLSIDE, the SECOND in the three-part series of commemorative EC250 cans from Manor Hill Brewing. Featuring their signature IPA, the new label design pays tribute to the town’s famed Patapsco Female Institute and principal Almira Hart Lincoln Phelps who championed the education of young women in the sciences. “ON THE HILLSIDE”, tells the story of Almira Hart Lincoln Phelps and the many women who travelled by rail to seek higher learning at the Patapsco Female Institute overlooking Old Ellicott City.
There will be a series of activities at the farm that day showcasing “EC History Comes Alive” with re-enactors, musical performances, and more. Meet George Ellicott and Benjamin Banneker. Learn about early surveying techniques and the art of sewing and sutlery. Learn about Ellicott City’s rich agricultural history, how farming is done at Manor Hill today, and even try their award-winning agricultural product… Manor Hill Beer. No tickets needed, all seating and space on the farm is first come, first served. So bring your blanket, portable chairs, and canopy tents to make a day of it!
FARM & TASTING ROOM will be open 12-7pm with 13 farm-brewed beers (& a hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go. The repurposed and restored PIZZA TROLLEY from Old Ellicott City will be open 12–6pm and Mr. Soft ICE CREAM Truck will also be on site serving treats.
