History of PFI, the Mary Jerdone Coleman Journal and the Garden (Lunch Date With History)

Learn more about the history of Ellicott City’s famed Patapsco Female Institute, it’s principal and renown botanist Almira Hart Lincoln Phelps, and the student whose 1844 journal inspired the plans for the soon-to-be unveiled interpretive garden at the historical site.
Speakers include Riley Goodman (Howard County Recreation & Parks research assistant), Rita Hamlet (Howard County Garden Club) and Victoria Goodman (EC250 Board of Directors)
Join Howard County Historical Society for this series that features a different lecture each month in 2022. Each lecture features a special speaker(s) with in-depth knowledge and insight into the topic. Parking is available on the street or in the Circuit Courthouse parking lot. You may bring your lunch.
